 What is Permanent
Make-Up?
Permanent Make-Up is a non-surgical micro-procedure known as
Micropigmentation. Tiny droplets of custom blended colors are
skillfully deposited into the dermal layer of the skin to simulate
natural looking or well-defined Make-Up. This process is a selective
art form of traditional tattooing whereby the natural features of
the face are enhanced and defined in the form of permanent eyebrows
using hair strokes, eyeliner and/or lip liner and color. The results
are beautiful, immediate and permanent! A refreshingly, radiant yet
natural look is achieved that cannot be duplicated by traditional
cosmetics
Is permanent makeup a safe procedure?
At Permanent Cosmetics of Lancaster the procedures are only
performed under sterile conditions. Only disposable needles are
used. There are no long-term side effects; short-term effects may
include some redness, swelling and tenderness. There are no known
allergic reactions to pigments. Allergy tests can be performed on
our clients before treatment by injecting a tiny bit of pigment into
the hairline.
Is there any discomfort associated with the procedure?
Topical gel-like anesthetics are applied to the area being worked
upon which significantly block pain. Most patients report little or
no discomfort.
What kind of healing time is involved?
Regular routines usually can be resumed immediately after the
procedure. Normal healing times is between 4 to 7 days.
How long does permanent make-up last?
Gradual fading can be expected for all micro-pigmentation
procedures. Most colors last 3 to 5 years, although some may not
fade for as long as 10 years. Periodic touch-ups are recommended to
maintain the desired look.
May I choose the color and shape?
Absolutely. In fact, nothing is done without your approval. First,
we work with you to design the most attractive style and shape based
on your facial features and personal preference. Then,
individualized color.
What’s the recovery time?
Regular routines usually can be resumed immediately after the
procedure. However, swimming or vigorous exercise should be avoided
for a few days. Normal healing times is between 4 to 7 days.
